The “Draw My Life” videos are an internet meme that started this year (2013), after the upload of a video from YouTube personality Sam Pepper, resulting in other YouTube personalities began uploading Draw My Life videos, which consist of the video creator narrating their life’s story while drawing figures on a whiteboard. Apparently, the lovely Princess Zelda has caught wind of those popular “draw my life” videos and decided to give it the old college try. She must have SOME stories to tell, you know, from being kidnapped, put under deep sleep, secret/hidden identities, and taking matters into her own hands. While I’m not a huge fan of Ohio State University (or the Big Ten Conference as a whole; nothing personal, I just do not care for them), this halftime performance dedicated to video games from their marching band is one of the best I’ve ever seen (after any performance from the World Famous Fighting Texas Aggie Band; #nobias).
Above is a still image from the halftime performance of The Ohio State University Marching Band from this past Saturday, October 6th, 2012 as the Buckeyes took on the Nebraska Cornhuskers. As previously mentioned, the theme was popular video games, and the performance included musical selections from The Legend of Zelda, Halo, Pokemon, Tetris, and much more. Also, which is probably the BEST PART from the entire performance, make sure not to miss the running horse at the 6 minute mark. Check out the entire Ohio State University Marching Band halftime show after the break.

Soon after Twitter unvieled the newest rendition of their official trademark logo, it didn’t take too long for some people to reinterpret the new logo into an artistic work. Take illustrator Ape Lad, who used the outlines of the new Twitter logo to produce images of Link from the Zelda games, Wolverine, Phillip J. Fry from Futurama, Linus Van Pelt from Peanuts, Yoda, Bugs Bunny, Woody and Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story, etc. Here’s a link to the rest of his Twitter logo-inspired graphics on his Flickr account. Check out some extra images after the break in this post. Continue reading “New Twitter Logo = Awesome New Art!”
