The 1st Episode of WWE Monday Night RAW, Episode 1000 on 7/23/2012

This coming Monday night, June 23rd, WWE RAW will be broadcasting and celebrating its 1,000th episode.  Beginning as WWF Monday Night Raw, the program first aired on January 11, 1993 on the USA Network for one hour. Rather than taped matches with studio voice overs and taped chat, WWF Raw was a show shot to a live audience in the Grand Ballroom at Manhattan Center Studios in New York City, and the camera angles as the action happened. WWE RAW is the fifth longest-running weekly wrestling show in history, as the longest running wrestling shows are WCW Saturday Night (28 years), WCW WorldWide (26 years), NWA/St. Louis Wrestling at the Chase (24 years) and the UK’s World of Sport (20 years). Check out the entire first episode of WWF Monday Night RAW after the break and rekindle those memories of the early days of this history-making program in professional wrestling.   Continue reading “The 1st Episode of WWE Monday Night RAW, Episode 1000 on 7/23/2012”
