Oh, the Apple IIc; a classic personal computer from back in the day. It was released in 1984 as the compact (which is what the “c” stood for) device which was essentially a complete Apple II computer setup (without the display and power supply) squeezed into a small notebook-sized housing. Even though it was discontinued in 1988, many enthusiasts have continued to find new and interesting uses for the Apple IIc (like with MANY other devices no longer in-production). For example, this shot-by-shot trailer remake of the Star Wars: The Last Jedi trailer is ONE of those interesting things Continue reading The Apple IIc; Great for Gaming, Greater for remaking ‘Star Wars’ trailers…
The new teaser trailer for the upcoming eighth mainline Star Wars film, “Star Wars: The Last Jedi,” was just released today during the Star Wars Celebration in Orlando. The trailer seems to hint at, among some other things, Rey’s Jedi training action, Finn recovering from his injuries from the prior film, some more space battles, more of Kylo Ren being emo, and a darker side of Luke Skywalker.
“Star Wars, Episode VIII: The Last Jedi” opens in theaters on December 15th, 2017.
Holy crap, this movie comes out in ONLY TWO MORE MONTHS?!?! AND Logan comes out THIS FRIDAY?!? AND Power Rangers in THREE WEEKS?!? AND Ghost in the Shell THE WEEK AFTER?!? Jeezus! Anyway, last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Chris Pratt stopped by to introduce a tease trailer — for the actual, full-length second trailer — for the upcoming theatrical addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (and sequel to the surprise summer hit of 2014), Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2. Once again, the universe needs saving and there’s no one more suited to the job than Marvel’s ragtag group of misfits.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, directed by James Gunn, hits theaters on May 5.
Hugh Jackman is reprising his role as Wolverine for the film, Logan, directed by James Mangold, however unlike previous Wolverine appearances, Jackman won’t be buffed up and ready to fight. This film is based on an eight-issue arc that ran in the main Wolverine series created by Mark Millar and Steve McNiven between 2008 and 2009 called Old Man Logan, featuring a version of a nomadic, older, less ferocious version of Wolverine, who’s suffering from chronic back pain and diminishing healing abilities.
Logan hits theaters on March 3rd, 2017.

Donnie Yen, Forest Whitaker and Diego Luna are on her team, and Ben Mendelsohn as Imperial leader Orson Krenic. At the Sonic the Hedgehog Birthday Celebration — which I’m required to write to further perpetuate the notion that The PractitioNERD secretly operates as a Sonic Fan Site — that happened at San Diego ComicCon 2016 this past week (which not only included celebrating the character’s 25th anniversary, sing-a-longs, a God-awful livestream — contrary to the better live experience on-location — and a merchandising crossover between Sonic the Hedgehog and Sanrio characters, like Hello Kitty), two new Sonic video games were officially announced. The first game that will celebrate the 25-year-old franchise will be Sonic Mania, in which the above trailer starts with an awesome remix of the end theme to the Genesis version of Sonic 3D Blast, and is slated for release in Spring 2017 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
