Comedian & Pro Wrestling Fan Ron Funches talks about Enrolling in Pro Wrestling School on CONAN

You may have seen Ron Funches on NBC’s Undateable or on Comedy Central’s @midnight, and if you’ve ever seen/heard his stand-up you’d know that he’s a longtime fan of  professional wrestling. He even has a great bit about how to handle people who tell him wrestling is fake (because OF COURSE the fans already know it’s scripted and predetermined), and, to be hones, it’s a really good retort for keeping the “Negative Nancys” and those drunk off “haterade” at bay.  However, Ron is taking his love for the medium to an whole ‘nutha level by actually taking pro wrestling classes, and he explains on Conan, (in the above video) why he’s doing it. Why a big deal, you ask? Well, when thinking about the infamous Monday Night Wars, this occurrence was its genesis; McMahon’s purchase of the time-slot led to a longstanding rivalry between himself and WTBS owner Ted Turner, resulted in Turner’s purchase of Jim Crockett Promotions (formally GCW) and turning it into his own promotion, World Championship Wrestling.

So, “Halo 4” is coming out November 6th, 2012

Not being a huge fan, but regardless, this is still some huge news.  Microsoft and 343 Studios have announced earlier today that Halo 4 is scheduled to be released into the retail jungle on November 6, 2012 for the Xbox 360 to start a whole new trilogy in the series (which is sort of interesting since Halo games typically release in September; oh well, it’s probably for the holiday sales figures). The game will also be announced and discussed in further detail on tonight’s edition of “Conan” on TBS, in which there will be a special segment on the Master Chief’s latest journey.
