**wakes back up**
Huh? Whaaa? What happened? What did I miss? Ok, this is one of those things that’s both FOR me and NOT for me. You see, I was a fan of the Sega Dreamcast (despite not owning one; I played on a friend’s console) and of Shenmue when it was released (again, I played it on a friend’s Dreamcast). I even got my hands on the Xbox port of Shenmue II despite not having an Xbox at the time; yeah, I had it pretty bad. based just on that alone, imagine how much I fanboyed when the Shenmue III crowdfunding campaign was announced a couple of years ago. Anyway, SEGA recently announced at FES 2018 that HD ports of Shenmue and Shenmue II are being brought over to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in North America and Europe, while being exclusive on PlayStation 4 only in Japan. Dreamcast fans REJOICE (I’m looking at you, PC)!! For those who remember, Shenmue was an extremely ambitious game for its time (and I’m talking about late-1990’s-time), which included a massive and interactive open world, environments full of people and dynamic activity and a fairly-complex combat system, along with using state-of-the-art graphics. The project was huge in scope, and the game’s director, Yu Suzuki, revealed at the “Shenmue Postmortem Panel” at this year’s Game Developers’ Conference (GDC) that the game’s development didn’t come without its fair share of bizarre development bugs. In fact, according to Suzuki, up to 300 bugs were found EVERY DAY!

It’s nothing new for people to incorrectly pronounce the title of a movie, book, TV Show, song title, or even video games. Sometimes it could be the arrangement of the letters, the instance or proper use of long and short vowels, accents over letters, and, well, REASONS! GamesRadar recently put together their list of the most mispronounced video game titles, and –drawing inspiration from them — I will only showcase titles that I have played and/or own. LET THE GAMES (see what I did there) BEGIN!! Continue reading “My Favorite Most Mispronounced Video Game Titles, EVER!”

It appears that YouTuber DSimphony has uncovered one of the biggest secrets in the history of video games. According to this video, it seems that gaming companies Sega and Square Enix attempted to mask this over and let this slip past us. Unfortunately for them, gamers are an intelligent and resourceful group of people with extraordinary resources. Funny; I wrote about this particular Square Enix game just a week ago… Continue reading “WAIT! Sleeping Dogs = Shenmue 3?!? WTFOMGWTHBBQ?!?!”
