This is the definition of a classic match with a classic build; both leading up to the match and the match itself. Not a lot of people talk about “Mr. Perfect” Curt Hennig and Ric Flair’s “Loser Leaves WWE” match from early-1993. Not only was it one of the best (FREE) RAW matches of all time, it was one of the WWE’s best matches PERIOD, and should have put Hennig over as one of the top babyfaces in the company. Unfortunately, the rivalry came up on the short end of feuds against “The All-American/Lex Express” Lex Luger and “The Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels throughout the rest of 1993, and essentially letting this memorable RAW moment be cast aside. This week on a journalistic-focused (or something) episode of WIRed, Minecraft players assist in an architecture firm’s proposal project, Intel takes on cable and satellite services with OnCue, the simplicity and awesomeness of ‘DiveKick’, and the theme to ‘RAW is WAR’ with its supposedly-correct lyrics and band line-up… Continue reading “Minecraft Architecture OnCue DiveKickING RAW Theme – WIRed #58”
Ever since WWE extended Monday Night RAW from a two-hour show to three hours, they’ve had some difficulty providing entertaining programming to fill the entirety of the show — I’d suggest more matches, less segments/interviews. Adrian Fylonenko of The Bleacher Report suggest that the WWE bring back the Cruiserweight (or Light Heavyweight, if you prefer), European, and Hardcore championship titles to help the WWE keep up a solid, quality program for all three hours of RAW, as the reintroduction of these belts could and would create more dynamic storylines and feuds on RAW and –should it go the three-hour route as well — SmackDown. Essentially: WRESTLING > VIDEO FLASHBACKS. Continue reading “WWE Should Bring Back These Three Championship Titles…”
Current Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling star Kurt Angle took on current Ring of Honor (ROH) wrestling star Shelton Benjamin on an episode of WWE Monday Night RAW on August 22nd, 2005. Both were former collegiate wrestling All-Americans, and were teammates in the wrestling stable “Team Angle,” along with Charlie Haas (also now in ROH, along with Benjamin). Shelton Benjamin was a high school All-State athlete in … Continue reading Shelton Benjamin vs Kurt Angle, 2005
After blogging and getting hyped-up about the then-upcoming 1000th episode of RAW, getting a chance to actually watch the show in its entirety was a huge treat; particularly the opening segment of the show. D-Generation X (also known as DX) is one of the most popular and controversial factions in the history of professional wrestling history, and last night the most prominent members of the group (including Triple H, Shawn Michaels, “The Road Dogg” Jesse James, “The Bad-A$$” Billy Gunn, and X-Pac) reunited for last night’s 1,000th episode celebration of WWE Monday Night RAW from St. Louis, MO. Check out the video after the break below, and if you’re not down with that, I’ve got TWO WORDS for ya! DO IT! Continue reading “D-Generation X Reunites on Last Night’s 1000th Episode of Monday Night RAW!!”

Pretty intense, right?
WWE’s website has a new article up with several Superstars looking back at CM Punk’s famous “pipebomb” promo from the June 27th, 2011 RAW Supershow. When CM Punk grabbed the microphone at the end of the main event on RAW, the mouthpiece turned into his personal weapon to unleash one of the most powerful outbursts the WWE Universe has ever witnessed. CM Punk delivers a star-making soliloquy taking aim at WWE brass and voicing his frustrations with the sports-entertainment landscape. Here are some comments after the break. Yesterday, a viral ad from the WWE website and YouTube page proclaimed that a “Revolution is coming.” There was no type of detail in the ad, as it composed mostly of stock riot and protest footage intercut with bombings, explosions and quick scene transitions (a’la any Michael Bay movie). Even though teaser videos indication some change or storyline are no stranger to the business of professional wrestling, what makes it interesting is that WWE had pulled the ad from its own site and YouTube page. Hmm…
HERE COMES THE PAIN!!!! BROCK LESNAR IS BACK IN WWE!!! OH MY GAWD!!!! (you’re welcome, Joey Styles) Continue reading Uh-Oh….
