Today Amazon unveiled the Echo Show, a WiFi-enabled home device — similar to the Alexa-powered Echo family of home hubs that plays media and responds to voice commands –with a seven-inch screen that you can use to make, screen and take video calls. The Echo Show, which comes in black and white versions, will cost $229.99 and will be shipped on June 28 in the US, and pre-orders are available now. It appears that it will be available in the US first, and other countries and territories will get access at a later date. I love my Retron 5. At its core, the Hyperkin-made system is able to play video game cartridges for the NES, SNES, Genesis, Famicom, Super Famicom, Mega Drive, Game Boy, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance. Essentially, the Retron 5 plays an emulated ROM dumped from the original cartridge on a HD television via HD-friendly visual filters to select from. PLUS, you can save your game, take screenshots and add language translations for imports as patches! SCORE. But it seems Hyperkin isn’t settling with the Retron 5 being a 9-in-one system (or 10 if you have a Master System converter of some type), as this next announcement instantly caught my attention. If you’ve a smartphone aficionado who’s been browsing the world wide interwebz lately, you’re aware that the OnePlus One is a fantastic Android (through CyanogenMod) phone with a fantastic price tag. But, like with many awesome things, the One Plus One is pretty darn near impossible to find one to buy. Why, because you needed an invitation (which ranged from impossible requirements to straight-up near-sexist marketing tactics; i.e. the “ladies-only selfie contest”) to buy a OnePlus One, but that is about to end, because THIS MONTH you’ll be able to just go ahead and buy one, if you’re quick enough. Continue reading Did You Get Your OnePlus One Android Phone Yet?
