Back in March, pro wrestling veteran Christopher Daniels won the Ring of Honor World Championship for the first time in his career, occurring about 15 years after he first debuted with the promotion. While people like myself have followed Daniel’s career for almost as long as he’s been with the company — I’ve followed his career since the spring of 2000 — other more casual wrestling fans might be left wondering why ROH awarded its top prize to a 47-year-old while their company is focused on building new stars. However, at the end of the day, Daniels’ championship victory was one of the most memorable moments in ROH’s history, because finally — FINALLY — watching Daniels lifelong dream in the twilight of his career come into fruition is what wrestling is truly about. I’ve made it no secret here at The PractitioNERD that I’m a huge fan (read “mark”) for D’Lo Brown or that I credit him for getting me back into wrestling and for being possible the most entertaining European Champion in WWE history (in my honest opinion). Recently, the Pancakes and Powerslams Show was had D’Lo Brown on as a special guest host, as he was promoting his new D’Lo Pro Wrestling Academy (you know, teaching the future how to properly wag their heads around and how they better recognize). Brown had plenty to discuss regarding his time WWE, TNA and Japan. Continue reading “‘Pancakes & Powerslams’ with D’Lo Brown!”

VLC (VideoLAN) is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE media player, and I have been using it for over five (5) years as a replacement for the memory/power-hungry Windows Media Player. But what’s the best thing about a lightweight, open-source and FREE media player? It’s that the program is no one-trick pony; under the surface, there’s a wide variety of features VLC has that you likely didn’t know it could do.

Recently, Shawn Michaels was a guest on Jim Ross’ podcast, The Ross Report, and at around the forty-minute mark he revealed in the interview that the decision to end The Undertaker’s undefeated WrestleMania streak — which I may of may not have ranted and resolved already… — was made roughly four hours before last month’s WrestleMania 30 program went to air. Michaels stated that at the end of the day, the final and absolute decision came down to WWE owner and chairman, Vince McMahon. Ross himself stated that he “wouldn’t be surprised if the decision for The Streak to end did not happen at the eleventh hour. Or the weekend of,” with Michaels confirming that is was “four hours” before that show began.
Regarding the result of the match:
