Remembering the Ultimate Warrior Getting PWN’D by Undertaker and Jake “The Snake” Roberts…

Ultimate-Warrior

The Ultimate Warrior is one of the most recognized, energetic, and interesting personalities in the history of professional wrestling. With his shocking passing a mere days after being inducted in the WWE Hall of Fame before WrestleMania 30 in 2014 (and rebuilding his bridge with WWE), his legendary career took to new heights. While he has been part of the best (winning the WWE Championship from Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania 6) and worst moments of wrestling history, I wanted to take the time to focus on the two moments in WWE where he was convincingly shown as an underdog (which means the angle with Papa Shango will NOT be discussed; ugh)… Continue reading “Remembering the Ultimate Warrior Getting PWN’D by Undertaker and Jake “The Snake” Roberts…”

Here’s WWE Legend The Undertaker as the ‘Master of Pain’ in the USWA

It’s always interesting to see legendary wrestlers in the beginning of their storied careers to see just how far they’ve come. Now, assuming that the title on the video above is correct, this is from a 1984 event from the legendary Texas-based World Class Championship Wrestling (WCCW) promotion. The Undertaker, known then as the Master of Pain, would spend several years with WCCW before it eventually became the United States Wrestling Association (USWA), and he would later win the USWA’s World Heavyweight Championship soon afterward. Princess Aurora as Ultimate Warrior

You know what’s awesome? Professional Wrestling! You what also pretty darn awesome? Walt Disney animated movies (The Lion King FOR THE WIN)! But do you truly know what’s really, super-freaking awesome. A mash-up of professional wrestling AND Walt Disney characters; namely the Disney princesses. That would a little extra interest in women’s wrestling outside of attending a Hoodslam event.

WWF Championship: The Undertaker vs. Hulk Hogan, Survivor Series 1991

Soon after The Undertaker made his World Wrestling Federation debut at the Survivor Series in 1990, he set his cross-hairs on the World Wrestling Federation Championship and it’s then-title holder, Hulk Hogan. Everything initially began on November 16, 1991, when Ric Flair and The Undertaker attacked Hulk Hogan on the set of Paul Bearer’s Funeral Parlor interview show, but later Randy Savage and Roddy Piper fought off both Undertaker and Flair to protect Hogan. This would culminate in Hogan facing off with Undertaker for the championship at the 1991 Survivor Series, coined as “The Gravest Challenge.”  Check out more about the match (including a video) and the fallout after the break.   Continue reading “WWF Championship: The Undertaker vs. Hulk Hogan, Survivor Series 1991”
