back in 1997, World Championship Wrestling was at the height of its popularity, thanks to the rise of the New World Order and their tensions with the rest of the WCW roster. While the headlining (and, in the minds of many, the top) rivalry in WCW was Sting’s crusade to knock Hollywood Hogan down a peg, another, more personal, physical and bitter rivalry was taking place between Diamond Dallas Page and “Macho Man” Randy Savage. In fact, shortly after Savage joined the nWo, he physically attacked DDP and verbally attacked DDP’s then-wife, Kimberly, and after that, all bets were off. In fact, DDP had already had history with the New World Order before going head-to-head with Savage, as he was a former tag team partner of BOTH nWo co-founders Kevin Nash and Scott Hall. He was initially felt slighted when Hall and Nash recruited others into the nWo before him, but when DDP was about to be inducted, he turned them down — in spectacular fashion — and immediately became a target. I don’t know why I’m surprised by this being a thing. I should have known that madness of the legacy of the late-WWE Hall-of-Famer “Macho Man” Randy Savage was just TOO MACHO to stay in only one Bethesda game. Fallout 4 has been out since early November of last year, but I htink I speak for most gamers that the game was not as good … Continue reading ‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage returns to Video Games; This Time in ‘Fallout 4’

As of the final edit of this blog post, ‘Uptown Funk’ by Mark Ronson featuring Bruno Mars is sitting at the top of the Billboard 100. I think I speak for most people with good taste in music that this song FREAKING RULES! Anyway, I felt that this song was missing something, something macho, something crazy and mad, something that I could really dig. Well, in case the blog title didn’t spoil it already (and if it didn’t, PAY ATTENTION) that something is soon-to-be WWE Hall-of-Famer MACHO MAN RANDY SAVAGE. Continue reading “Here’s The Macho Man Remix Of ‘Uptown Funk’ You’ve Been Waiting For!!”
Ever since the WWE began it’s Hall of Fame (originally in memory of Andre the Giant), the club inducted many stars and executives involved in the wrestling business who inspired and paved the way for the wrestlers on modern-day. However, with the recent more-publicized era of the Hall of Fame (mainly thanks to the widely-promoted ceremony that takes place the night before WrestleMania), there’s been one glaring omission: the fact the “Macho Man” Randy Savage wasn’t in it. However, “wasn’t” is now the key term. HE’S FINALLY & OFFICIALLY IN!!! OOOH YEEAAHH!!! Continue reading “OOH YEAH! “Macho Man” Randy Savage to be inducted into WWE’s Hall of Fame!”

Soon after The Undertaker made his World Wrestling Federation debut at the Survivor Series in 1990, he set his cross-hairs on the World Wrestling Federation Championship and it’s then-title holder, Hulk Hogan. Everything initially began on November 16, 1991, when Ric Flair and The Undertaker attacked Hulk Hogan on the set of Paul Bearer’s Funeral Parlor interview show, but later Randy Savage and Roddy Piper fought off both Undertaker and Flair to protect Hogan. This would culminate in Hogan facing off with Undertaker for the championship at the 1991 Survivor Series, coined as “The Gravest Challenge.” Check out more about the match (including a video) and the fallout after the break.
