Remember all the funny injuries and destruction of property that the Wii caused? Well, not the Wii ITSELF, just the people using the Wii Remotes? Anyways, a decade later, everyone has an HD camera in their pocket to record the next generation of game-related injuries, but this time, virtual reality is taking the place of Nintendo’s last generation console. Some will consider this a serious issue (because safety and injuries and all; that’s why legal/safety policies come with these products), but myself, this brings more opportunity for free comedy.
A lot of pro wrestlers have gotten hurt in the last year — specifically in WWE, John Cena, Daniel Bryan, Sting, Seth Rollins, Nikki Bella, Tyson Kid, etc. — however the addition of the “Swiss Superman” Cesaro on the IR was pretty painful. It seemed like only yesterday in November 2015 when it appeared that WWE was giving him the push he deserved, he went down with a shoulder injury. Adrian Peterson, superstar running back for the NFL’s Minnesota Vikings, suffered a torn ACL injury in last December, near the end of the regular season. As part of Peterson’s rehab regiment, he played Wii Fit and other games that are specially designed to regain strength and balance.
