Four months ago at the D23 Expo and San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel showed fans — for the first time — some footage from the highly anticipated ‘Avengers’ film. However, back then the footage was not released online, which drove people nuts (myself included), but now, we have the first official trailer. Continue reading Ladies & Gentlemen, the First “Avengers: Infinity War” Trailer Is Here!
Holy crap, this movie comes out in ONLY TWO MORE MONTHS?!?! AND Logan comes out THIS FRIDAY?!? AND Power Rangers in THREE WEEKS?!? AND Ghost in the Shell THE WEEK AFTER?!? Jeezus! Anyway, last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Chris Pratt stopped by to introduce a tease trailer — for the actual, full-length second trailer — for the upcoming theatrical addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (and sequel to the surprise summer hit of 2014), Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2. Once again, the universe needs saving and there’s no one more suited to the job than Marvel’s ragtag group of misfits.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, directed by James Gunn, hits theaters on May 5.

Raise your hands if you remember Microsoft Sam. Now keep your hands raised if you used Microsoft Sam to recite digital speech with your own funny sentences. NOW, keep your hands raised if those same sentences contained some salty language.
**I still have my hand up…**
It’s safe to say that Microsoft Sam has many talents, far beyond his main task of assisting us at installing our brand, new, shiny copy of Windows XP on our computers (yes, Windows XP; #OldSchoolCool). It appears that Microsoft Sam — after completing his duties, of course — likes to chill, kick back and relax, prepare himself a nice Piña Colada, and serenade the ladies with his own vocals of Rupert Holmes’ Escape. Take a listen after the break. Continue reading Microsoft Sam returns to sing ‘The Piña Colada Song’

One of the things I loved the most of watching “Guardians of the Galaxy” was Star-Lord’s use of his old-school Walkman (in name only), which brought back memories of carrying around my old Sony Walkman and jamming to the Boomerang soundtrack I own on cassette. Of course, the times of the portable cassette player have passed, first by the portable compact disc (CD) player, then the MP3 player (yes, that INCLUDES the iPod). Now, while your basic Mp3 player isn’t nearly as popular as they used to be a decade ago, Instructables (one of my absolute FAVORITE websites on the internet) user BrittLiv submitted the MP3 player-inside-of-a-cassette project, which is VERY MUCH cool enough that it would be worth making for retail. Seriously. Continue reading Turn an Old Cassette Tape into an MP3 Player
Chris Pratt (“Zero Dark Thirty,” “Moneyball”) will lead the Guardians of the Galaxy as Star-Lord, and is joined by Zoe Saldana (“Star Trek Into Darkness,” “Avatar”) as Gamora, and Dave Bautista (“The Man with the Iron Fists”) as Drax The Destroyer. Together with Rocket Raccoon and Groot, this unlikely band of characters must join forces to defeat a cosmic force of epic proportions in order to save the galaxy.
