So, if you pre-ordered Fallout 76 at a participating retailer, then you’re very, highly likely that you’ll get a shot to try the beta once it rolls out this October. The beta — cleverly referred to as the “Break-it Early Test Application,” or “B.E.T.A. — will clearly provide an eyeful of its testers, since Bethesda announced that the beta “will be the full game and all your progress is saved for launch.” That. Is. AWESOMESAUCE!!
In this video game-themed episode of PractitioNERD Documented, or “Doc’D”, host Montez McCrary will be discussing the history, the development, and the somewhat-lost legacy of the game that was ALMOST ‘Fallout 3,” the Van Buren project.
I don’t know why I’m surprised by this being a thing. I should have known that madness of the legacy of the late-WWE Hall-of-Famer “Macho Man” Randy Savage was just TOO MACHO to stay in only one Bethesda game. Fallout 4 has been out since early November of last year, but I htink I speak for most gamers that the game was not as good … Continue reading ‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage returns to Video Games; This Time in ‘Fallout 4’
Bethesda is on a roll as of late! Between the announcement and hype surrounding this fall’s release of Fallout 4 (as well as the addition of cross-platform mod support on PC, PlayStation 4 & Xbox One) and the runaway success of the Fallout Shelter mobile game, it’s like they can do no wrong. Already not content on their mission to obliterate your free time this fall, Bethesda recently announced Fallout Monopoly, and you can already imagine what’ll be in there… Continue reading “Hurry and Get Your Pre-Order for ‘Fallout: Monopoly’…”

If that didn’t sound insane enough, he completes this speedrun on hardcore mode without eating, drinking, or sleeping, and he pulls it off. Also, before you ask, yes; he has accomplished something equally crazy like this before… Continue reading An 1-Hour 42-Minute Speedrun in… ‘Fallout: New Vegas’?!?
On Episode 57 of WIRed, we discuss the legacy of Otto Wagner, the 3D printing pen, the Fallout fan film-turned-web series done good, and RVD vs. Cena at ECW One Night Stand in 2006! Continue reading “Otto Wagner 3D Doodles Fallout Film Van Cenation – WIRed #57”
When I showcased and shared with friends the fan films dedicated to Sonic The Hedgehog, Mega Man, Tomb Raider, Street Fighter, Metal Gear Solid and Tetris (yes, even Tetris), many of those projects were done without input from the people who developed and created those games. However, then you have a case like Wayside Creations’ “Fallout: Nuka Break—Red Star”, which had “creative input” from Fallout developers like Tim Cain (‘Fallout‘ & ‘Fallout 2‘) and Chris Avellone (‘Fallout 2,’ the cancelled ‘Fallout 3’ a.k.a. ‘Van Buren,’ & ‘Fallout: New Vegas‘). ‘Nuka Break’ started as a stand-alone fan film that evolved into a full-fledged web series (WATCH HERE) and soon Machinima Prime will release the follow-up web series, ‘Red Star’ in the coming weeks.
