Ten years ago, the great Eddie Guerrero was taken away from us far too soon. Rather than writing up a memorial post, I wanted to focus on a particular party of his career that’s rarely discussed. That said, let’s go back to 1993 (where Eddie’s career really started taking off), when he turned on his tag partner El Hijo del Santo (the son of the legendary Mexican folk hero, El Santo) and allied with Art Barr, Konnan and Louie Spicolli (under the name, Madonna’s Boyfriend) to form a full-on heel stable, Los Gringos Locos.

‘WWE’s Greatest Wrestling Factions’ on Blu-Ray/DVD on May 27th

Are you ready? NO! I SAID, ARE…..YOU…..READYYYY!!!! Well then, here at The PractitioNERD, we’ll provide you the complete match list for Greatest Wrestling Factions, the upcoming WWE DVD and Blu-ray set. The 3 disc DVD and 2 disc Blu-ray is scheduled for release on May 26th in the UK & Europe, May 27th in North America, and June 4th in Australia, and will feature more than 20 matches from the World Wrestling Federation/Entertainment (WWF/E), World Championship Wrestling (WCW), Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) and World Class Championship Wrestling (WCCW). Ring of Honor Wrestling Has A S.C.U.M. Problem

Rogue factions are nothing new in the world of professional wrestling. The Hart and Heenan families of the WWF in the 80’s and 90’s, the UWFi in New Japan Pro Wrestling in the mid-90’s, the New World Order in WCW in the mid-90’s, and today’s most current examples would be Aces & Eights in TNA Wrestling and The Shield in WWE.  While the antics of the biker gang/Sons of Anarchy-inspired Aces & Eights and the riot police-inspired Shield are the better known current rogue angles in pro wrestling, an other one must be mentioned. D-Generation X Reunites on Last Night’s 1000th Episode of Monday Night RAW!!

After blogging and getting hyped-up about the then-upcoming 1000th episode of RAW, getting a chance to actually watch the show in its entirety was a huge treat; particularly the opening segment of the show.  D-Generation X (also known as DX) is one of the most popular and controversial factions in the history of professional wrestling history, and last night the most prominent members of the group (including Triple H, Shawn Michaels, “The Road Dogg” Jesse James, “The Bad-A$$” Billy Gunn, and X-Pac) reunited for last night’s 1,000th episode celebration of WWE Monday Night RAW from St. Louis, MO.  Check out the video after the break below, and if you’re not down with that, I’ve got TWO WORDS for ya!
