Ok. Here it goes… The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee has completed and released their report regarding the huge 2017 data breach and information leak of Equifax, the world’s largest credit monitoring company, and yes, it’s equally as stupid and enraging as anyone with a functioning brain thought it was. Why? Because of the company’s sheer laziness and arrogance, they failed to install a simple, basic security patch to their database that would’ve prevented the data breach. DEAR. FREAKING. GOD! When anyone complains about updating their computers or smart devices, remind them of this.Continue reading “Oh Equifax…Y’all Sooooo Dumb, Dumb, Dumb, Dumb, DUMB; it’s Maddening…”
If you ever got tired of receiving heaps and piles of emails from newsletter services and linking your social media accounts to other online services, you could have signed up with the free newsletter unsubscription service, Unroll.me. Oh Boy! No worries, because you can create your own Google Script file to unsubscribe from a ton of email newsletters almost just as easily and for free (and your data will be more secure and private)! Here are some pictures I took last summer of what the inside of my 2007 “Cadillac” 60GB (now 500GB) launch model of my now old & non-working PS3 looks like (it was way out of warranty anyway). From left to right is the top case with media drives and power source, the cooling fan and heat-sink, and the main motherboard. Check out the whole wild, wild (well, maybe not THAT wild) and crazy story and a slideshow after the break.
