Play ‘Symphony of the Night’…in LittleBigPlanet 3!

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night is one of the greatest games of all time, and one of my favorite games to replay every year or so.  The game took the series and a whole new direction; mostly by taking the Metroid level design formula and instituting the ‘Metriod-Vania’ game genre.  While there currently exists many ways to play the game (from buying the original print of the game, purchasing the Castlevania Dracula X Chronicles on PSP, digital distribution, etc.), this rendition of the Konami classic looks to be a blast to give a try.  All you need is a PlayStation 4 and a copy of LittleBigPlanet 3. Halloween Withdrawl? Check this Mega Ran & Richie Branson “The Ghouls ‘N Ghosts” EP

Are you still hankering for some residuals of some Halloween goodness, love video games and music based on said past-time of gaming?  Well then good sir/ma’am, Phoenix-based rapper Random (a.k.a. Mega Ran) and Richie Branson released the Halloween-themed The Ghouls ‘n Ghosts EP. Essentially  it’s a collection of song collaborations from various other albums,in addition of a couple of new tracks, including the titular “Ghouls ‘n Ghosts” that, of course, is inspired by the infuriatingly difficult classic game from the so-called “Mega Man Haters” (as declared by numerous angry gamers online), Capcom.  Continue reading “Halloween Withdrawl? Be Immersed in the Pre-E3 2012 Hype!

DAY 0 (Pre-E3)

Aloha, fellow gamers!! This is the time of year that we all look forward to on the yearly gaming calendar (next to the dates of certain game releases we are looking forward to) is the annual Electronics Entertainment Expo, also known as “E3.” Just in the past 18 hours, many brand new trailers for some of the games that are to be announced/mentioned/revealed/updated about at the convention. All next week — from Monday June 4th to Wednesday June 6th — The PractitioNERD is be featuring the “Daily Top Five” stories of the day at E3. After the break, check out some of those trailers, including Tomb Raider (which I have recently gushed about), Metal Gear Rising (as a HUGE fan of the Metal Gear series), and more; all of which will available for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and (most likely) PC.
