Colts Fan Forum – Indianapolis Colts

Pat McAfee, who recently retired from the NFL’s Indianapolis Colts at the age of 30 as their punter, had become a favorite of many sports fans for his on-field antics — like his awesomely long celebration after a great punt against the Jets where he went all Razor Ramon on ’em — and amazing social media presence — particularly after the firing of the polarizing former Colts general manager. For the next phase of his life, he’s developed a blossoming stand-up career, and he even built himself a wrestling ring, and has recently taken some advisory meetings with Rip Rogers, a veteran wrestler and head trainer of former WWE and TNA development promotion, Ohio Valley Wrestling. Yes, the XFL will get a Physical Hall of Fame for a day in New York City…

Oh great googily-moogily, the X-F-L… Admittedly, I was a fan early on, as I was looking for an alternative to the NFL (though Arena Football was already scratching that itch). I had no issues with the NFL then (like I do now), but competition in the pro sports realm can be a positive thing. Well, we know how the XFL ended (not well), but this coming Super Bowl week in 2017, ESPN will debut it’s newest installment of their famed 30 for 30 series with the unbelievably-highly-anticipated “This Was The XFL”. Between that, ESPN’s coverage of the WWE on SportsCenter, and the 30 For 30 series working on a Ric Flair documentary, I am super amped! Back in the year of our Lord Nineteen-Forty-Six (1946) at the “Britain Can Make It Better” exhibition, this Benjamin Bowden-designed bicycle, known simply as the Classic (and later the Spacelander), was presented for the first time as what a bike twenty years in the future would resemble.  Bowden’s first streamlined design for the bicycle had included a motor to give riders a little extra power when attempting to pedal uphill. This futuristic-style bike didn’t go into production in the United States until 1960, but the delayed production time of the Spacelander wasn’t the problem.
