During a Memphis Grizzlies game this past Saturday, where they fell 112-99 to the Minnesota Timberwolves, WWE Hall of Famers Jerry “The King” Lawler and Rikishi Fatu would join the Grizz Girls in the third quarter to perform the latter’s dance routine made famous with Too Cool trio in WWE. This was moment that was wonderful and poignant as Lawler’s son, Brian Christopher Lawler (a.k.a., Grandmaster Sexay), was one-third of the group (along with Scott “Scotty 2 Hotty” Taylor) during their run in the Attitude Era.
But that wasn’t the end of the evening for the Hall of Famers. Later that night, Lawler and Rikishi competed in a tag team match against Buff Bagwell and Scott Steiner for the Grind City Tag Team Championships, which ended in victory of The King and The ‘Kiish (that’s what I’m calling him; I swear I’ve heard him referred as that on WWE TV before…).
Also, here’s Shawn Michaels introducing an enemy mascot at a San Antonio Spurs game to some Sweet Chin Music; an oldie, but a goody:
