A Student Remake of Metal Gear Solid’s Heliport in Unreal Engine 4

Students Remake Metal Gear Solid's Heliport in Unreal Engine 4

A nine-week class project taken on by four students in the 3D Animation and Computer Generated Images program at Montreal’s Collège de Bois-de-Boulogne, has resulted in some pretty cool Metal Gear Solid moving fanart. The aim of the project was to recreate a level from a famous video game, and this was the result.

As many fans of the Metal Gear series (like yours truly), the heliport was one of the first areas Snake entered on Shadow Moses Island in the original Metal Gear Solid, and it’s revisited much later within a dream sequence during Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. In the eyes of gamer and the like, it’s a very iconic location in the Metal Gear series, likely why the students selected it for their project.
