SPOILERS
Ok fine, so the new Metal Gear Solid is short. I mean, it’s REALLY short. AND IT’S THIRTY FREAKIN’ DOLLARS!! There, now that I have gotten the consensus whiny rant heard all around the internet since its release out of the way, it’s fair to say that there is a lot more content packed into Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes than it’s 2-3 hour playtime length would have you think. Even so, the game has been heavily criticized for being “a sliver of a larger, more complete game,” as described by Kirk Hamilton at Kotaku (who still liked the game, but recommended waiting for The Phantom Pain). I’ve already discussed that creator Hideo Kojima admitted that he’d rather have Ground Zeroes be part of the main Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, which will be released…at some point. Recently (as you can see in the video above), some folks over at Eurogamer were able to complete a speedrun in Ground Zeroes in just ten minutes. TEN…MINUTES.
Also, the crew at CVG were also able to speedrun through Ground Zeroes in 18 minutes with S rank. Very impressive, indeed.
