With the recent release of the next installment/first expansion of the ‘Diablo III’ saga, ‘Reaper of Souls,’ I’m almost positive that the first thought of many a gamer was WHEN WILL IT BE RELEASED ON THE GAME BOY. You know, that same Game Boy that debuted in 1989 and was retired by Nintendo in 2003. But still, WHAT THE HECK, NINTENDO?!?! Anyway, even though the Game Boy port doesn’t exist, South Korea blogger Laptick decided to create the thing on his own. Well, he did at least create the packaging, as well as the physical Game Boy cartridge.
Here’s some of Laptick’s handiwork. You already saw the box above, and above is the cartridge, with the instructions. Below, you can see what is looks like when you put the cartridge in, and switch it on:
But alas, this IS NOT a working port of ‘Diablo III: Reaper of Souls,’ but still, isn’t the magic of Photoshop absolutely awe-inspiring? While Laptick DIDN’T ACTUALLY program a playable Game Boy version of the game, he did created these wonderful graphics and did an awesome up job digitally adding them to the systems recognizable black-and-green screen.
