UFC Star Ronda Rousey Open To Wrestling A Match For WWE At WrestleMania 31

Rousey with The Rock’s Undisputed WWE Championship Title Belt

Let me get my three personal feelings on UFC Women’s Champion “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey out of the way. First, she’s a very talented and skilled fighter; second, she’s a very beautiful and pleasant person; and third, if she happens to take offensive to #1 & #2, I know she’ll knock me down with a solid strike or break my arm. So with that knowledge, for the remainder of this short post, I’ll tread very VERY lightly, and get to the story. TMZ posted some footage of the UFC champion practicing a few pro wrestling moves with her roommate and fellow UFC fighter Shayna Baszler a couple of weeks ago.

This was the first thing Rousey did in the gym that morning, and the two were talking about using it to start a “Four Horsewoman” storyline. Rousey stated, “It’s fun, we’re all big fans in the house and the ‘Rowdy’ in my name comes from ‘Rowdy’ Roddy Piper. It’s just for fun for us, but professionally, who knows? Me and all the girls are huge fans. If they were all down to do something, I’d probably be happy to jump in with them. But I have the most hectic schedule ever with the fights and the movies right now and adding a whole other career on top of that right now is a tall order.”

TMZ reports that Rousey would be interested in wrestling a match at WrestleMania, but this year’s show is out of the question, mainly due to her training for fights and movie schedule. Rousey seems to be willing to appear at WrestleMania 31 next year at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, CA. Who knows, maybe her “Four Horsewomen” stable — consisting of Baszler, Marina Shafir and Jessamyn Duke — can come down to ringside with her.
