Do you remember where you were when former NBA player and Philadelphia 76er star Allen Iverson enlightened us with his philosophy on the practice of…well…practice?

Yesterday (May 7th) marked the 10 year anniversary of Iverson’s infamous rant about practice, amid the accusations that Iverson often missed and/or outright skipped practice sessions with his team — then, the 76ers — before games.  That season (2001-2002), the 76ers lost to the Boston Celtics in the first round of the playoffs, and after the defeat, then-76ers head coach Larry Brown criticized Iverson for missing team practices. Iverson’s response was stating in a press conference, “We’re sitting here, I’m supposed to be the franchise player, and we’re in here talking about practice,” and continued a rant that included the word “practice” over twenty times.
