Wait! A Call of Duty game that will have branching paths in the main campaign storyline for the first time in the franchise’s history? AND side-missions to add onto said storyline, taking a sandbox approach? AND the return of Zombie Mode? AND it takes place 13 years in the future in a (prayerfully) neo-Cold War 2025? Oh my goodness; I’m actually LOOKING FORWARD to a new Call of Duty game. Oh boy, oh boy; three-two-one, one-two-three, what the HECK is bothering me?
Treyarch and Activision are set to release Call of Duty: Black Ops II, the sequel to 2010’s Call of Duty: Black Ops — itself a sequel to CoD: World at War, and Treyarch’s second non-World War II-focused CoD game (and 9th CoD game total) — on Novemeber 13th, 2012 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. Black Ops II is the first game in the Call of Duty franchise to have a completely futuristic setting and feature future warfare technology.
