Use a Xbox 360 Controller on a PS3? Use a PS3 Controller on a Xbox 360? The Cronus is MADNESS!!

I’ve owned a Nintendo Gamecube for years, and as much fun as I have playing the games (i.e. Eternal Darkness, Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes, The Legend of Zelda: The Windwaker, etc.), I personally cannot stand the Gamecube controller.  While it’s not the worst controller I’ve ever held (I’m looking at you, Atari Jaguar; quit laughing original Xbox “Duke” controller), the button layout is a mess, in my honest opinion.  Thankfully, I have an adapter to use my PlayStation 2 controller (which is perfect; also, in my honest opinion) with my Gamecube, and it’s wonderful.  It’s a little hard to find such a cross-controller-to-console device for the current generation of video game consoles, but now with this adapter from Cronus, you can use your Xbox 360 controller with the PlayStation 3 (or vice-versa; even with the Wii).

With the Cronus Device adapter (as demonstrated above), you can play with whichever controller you’re comfortable with by plugging in the Cronus dongle to the preferred console’s USB port and then sync your preferred wireless controller to the adapter. Supposedly, it’s fairly simple to accomplish. And back to the Wii, it’s a little ironic that I complained about the Gamecube controller earlier, yet I prefer to use the Gamecube controller over the Wiimote on particular Wii, WiiWare, and Virtual Console games, isn’t it?

I’m a dirty hypocrite…

I’m sorry, internet. Can we still be friends?

YAY!!!

[Thanks Cronus]

  1. That’s pretty cool ^_^ I really like my Xbox 360 controller, but I rarely even play the PS3 or Wii

    • I feel comfortable with both the PS3 and 360 controllers, but the WiiMote and Nunchuck……..just gimme a regular controller to plug into the back of my darned Wii! The Wii Classic Controller is nice, but having it be daisy-chained to a WiiMote to work? No thanks. At least I can play the WiiMote sideways like an NES controller for some games I have (I’m looking at you, Punch-Out….)

  2. Going hopefully is definitely a much better option than to a Consoles -travelling without
    any luck :)

So...What Do You Think?
